Diabetes – be aware and stay safe
How often have we heard the idiom ' health is wealth'? For umpteen number of times and most of the times we either shrugged our shoulders in utter indifference or didn't pay attention to the sentence being said or its inherent meaning, the time of realization came when were making visits to the doctor with medical reports in hand or when we are busy paying medical bills. Health indeed is wealth for all of us the sooner we realize the better for us. The fact is we all have to face certain health problems in our lifetime but there are some diseases that cripple our lives and Diabetes happens to be one such a disease that we all fear.
Those who have been detected with this disease or have been suffering from it would tell you why this disease is considered so lethal. The problem starts with the hormone Insulin when the hormone stops functioning the way it should you have a problem, the basic fact is diabetes happens when the particular hormone is lacking in your body or when the hormone stops functioning properly. The problem is that this disease is not like some regular disease where you could get well after taking few medication, Diabetes is more fatal than that when you are detected with it you have to be prepared for very drastic changes to your lifestyle, diet, now the disease has a pervasive presence in our society even little kids are being detected with it.
However, no disease makes its entry without giving you signs and Diabetes is no exception. It does come after making few loud knocks on your door but you have to be listening closely, if you notice few changes in your health like you are suddenly urinating very frequently, or you are feeling very tired easily which you and your closed ones are finding strange, you are not working out or on a diet yet you have lost considerable weight or gained weight without eating a lot of calorie rich food, you have suddenly started feeling very hungry as well as thirsty and you do not have energy at all and your mouth is now dry most of the times and you have started noticing that your wounds are taking a long time to heal, if you have been experiencing all of these for some time then you have reasons to feel worried. You have been given the hints it is time for you to see your doctor and get the tests done recommended by him. Diabetes can be classified in basically two categories Type 1 and Type 2 while children and teens are more prone to being detected with Type 1 the adults are prone to being detected with Type 2, and remember obesity is a cause which can lead you straight to Diabetes so control your weight.
If you have been noticing the symptoms mentioned then you should visit the doctor fast because this is the only way to deal with it and the faster you start battling the disease the better for you. You have to be under treatment and you also have to understand the fact that you need more than medication to win your battle you have to bring many radical changes to your lifestyle. If you are into smoking, excessive drinking, and binging on junk food then you have to say goodbye to all of these. You have to follow your doctor's guideline and have to follow the diet he prescribes, at the same time you have to be physically active you have to workout and it is also advised that doing Yoga could bring better results.
But if you follow a healthy lifestyle then you can prevent the disease from occurring and of course you have to stay aware of the disease.
